Once youβve completed your West DidsburyΒ driving lessons, itβs time to take the practical driving test. Feeling nervous is completely normal, but knowing the structure of the test helps you stay calm and focused.
Make sure you arrive at the West DidsburyΒ Driving Test Centre at least 10 minutes early and bring your valid provisional driving licence. The practical driving test lasts around 40 minutes and includes the following:
Youβll be asked to read a vehicle number plate from a distance of 20 metres to confirm your eyesight meets legal driving standards.
Youβll be asked two vehicle safety questions β one before the drive (βtell meβ) and one during the drive (βshow meβ). These cover basic vehicle checks and are easy to prepare for with the right guidance.

If you pass, youβll receive a driving test pass certificate and can apply for your full UK driving licence straight away.
