Optional Add-On

Early Test Booking Support

£100

Get fully prepared for your driving test while receiving smart, network-powered alerts when earlier test slots become available. We help you and your instructor keep your training on track so you are confident and test-ready on the day.

DVSA compliance note: we do not access, scan, or automate the official DVSA booking system. Our alerts are generated strictly from live activity across our instructor network, notifying you to check the DVSA system directly. You book and pay for your DVSA practical test yourself — the test fee is not included.

What’s included

  • Smart Test Alerts — instant push notifications when network activity indicates available test slots at your chosen centre.
  • 100% DVSA Safe & Compliant — you retain full control of your account. We never use bots, scrape government systems, or manage your booking.
  • Test Readiness Checklist — track your progress to ensure you are genuinely ready to pass.
  • Learner Swap Network — connect with other pupils to exchange confirmed test dates.
  • Self-Booking Guide — proven strategies for manually finding DVSA test slots.

Intensive course or weekly lessons?

Cost comes down to total hours needed, not to the format you choose.

Where an intensive course saves money

  • Less time re-learning what you covered a fortnight ago, so fewer wasted hours overall
  • A fixed price agreed upfront rather than an open-ended weekly commitment
  • Faster route to a licence, which matters if driving unlocks a job

Where weekly lessons make more sense

  • You cannot take time off, or can only manage one hour at a time
  • You want to spread the cost across many months rather than pay a block upfront
  • You are in no hurry and prefer a slower pace

See pay as you go lessons

Deposit & payment

A £150 deposit secures your instructor and your course dates. The balance is payable in line with our current booking and payment policy, which we confirm in writing when you book.

Additional lessons

If you need more hours than your package covers:

  • £55 per hour
  • £105 per 2-hour block

No obligation to buy a larger package upfront.

DVSA practical test fee

You book and pay for your DVSA practical test yourself, through your own DVSA account. The test fee goes directly to the DVSA and is never included in an Express Pass course price.

Express Pass does not book, hold or manage practical tests on a learner's behalf.

Which course should I choose?

Price is the easy part. Getting the hours right matters more.

Buying too few hours means paying £55 an hour to top up; buying too many means paying for training you did not need. The course recommender asks eight questions about your experience, confidence and skill level, then suggests a starting point — and your instructor confirms it after your initial assessment.
