Speed limits theory tests the national limits for different roads and vehicles, and when a lower limit applies.
6 questions available in this topic. Answers are explained as you go.
For cars, the national speed limit is 60mph on single carriageways and 70mph on dual carriageways and motorways. Roads with street lights are usually 30mph unless signs say otherwise, and in Wales the default on most of these roads is now 20mph. Questions also cover limits for vehicles towing trailers.
Remember that a limit is a maximum, not a target — many questions test when it is safer to drive below it.
