Before You Book

5-Hour Course Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before booking. By submitting your booking request you agree to the conditions below.

1 Course Structure
The 5-hour course includes:
  • Two driving lessons of 1.5 hours each (3 hours total)
  • Two hours reserved for a pre-test preparation lesson, typically scheduled the day before the practical driving test

Important: The 2 hours reserved before the practical test cannot be used as regular driving lessons unless the practical test is cancelled or rearranged. This time is specifically allocated for test preparation and test readiness assessment.
2 Test Day Vehicle Hire
The practical driving test fee is not included in the course price. A separate Test Day Charge of £100 applies for:
  • 1-hour lesson immediately before the practical test
  • Use of the instructor's vehicle for the practical test
  • Insurance cover during the test
  • Travel to and from the test centre
  • Instructor time during the test appointment
3 Instructor Allocation
This course is provided by the instructor assigned by Express Pass Driving School. The course is non-transferable to another instructor, unless Express Pass Driving School decides otherwise due to operational requirements.
4 Course Validity
All 5 hours must be completed within 4 months of the booking date. Any unused hours remaining after 4 months will expire and cannot be refunded, transferred, or carried forward.
5 Cancellations & Rescheduling
A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule any lesson. Lessons cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice may be charged in full and deducted from the course hours.
6 Refund Policy
If you cancel the course after attending one or more lessons, any lessons already taken will be charged at the instructor's current standard hourly rate. The remaining balance will be refunded after deducting the value of lessons completed, any administrative charges, and any non-refundable fees already incurred on your behalf.

Example: If you complete 2 hours before requesting a refund, those hours will be recalculated at the full standard rate rather than the discounted course rate.
7 Practical Test Booking
Students are responsible for booking and maintaining a valid practical driving test unless otherwise agreed. The reserved 2-hour pre-test lesson is subject to the student holding a confirmed practical test appointment.
8 Instructor Availability
While every effort will be made to accommodate preferred lesson times, all lessons are subject to instructor availability.
9 Fitness to Drive
Students must hold a valid UK provisional driving licence and be legally entitled to drive in the United Kingdom. Students must not attend lessons under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication that may impair driving ability.
10 General
Express Pass Driving School reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions where necessary. Booking confirmation and payment constitute acceptance of these terms and conditions.
